Eight Geelong players have been selected for Victoria for the AFL's Hall of Fame tribute match against the Dream Team at the MCG on May 10.

Gary Ablett, Jimmy Bartel, Paul Chapman, James Kelly, Cameron Ling, Darren Milburn, Matthew Scarlett and Steve Johnson were included in the preliminary 40-man squad that will be coached by their Cats mentor Mark Thompson.

The Cats enjoy the greatest representation in the Victoria squad, with 13 clubs in total providing players.
